No. 1 is a senior collection and the debut as an independent designer. Inspired by her ongoing interest in streetwear, the integration of winter elements draws from her childhood in Michigan, where snow and cold weather later became a source of nostalgia after moving to Southern California. The collection blends standard techniques with uniquely specialized skills developed through independent studies. The snowwear characteristics of the collection were executed through multiple fabric manipulation methods such as cording, quilting, and stuffing. Every look is presented in a single monochromatic hue, echoing the title No. 1; a nod to both the collection’s visual unity and its role as a debut collection.
